Christopher Fowler

Christopher started his karate experience in 2003. Christopher has always been fascinated by karate. He always though it was amazing how someone in karate can have such power but be able to control it and be disciplined at the same time. Being in a military family and moving a lot he was never able to start. When his family was stationed here in Carlisle and found out they were going to stay Christopher enrolled in karate right away. He enjoys karate and helping out in the junior's class as well as learning himself. After much hard work and determination Christopher has achieved his rank of 1st Degree Black Belt March 8th 2008 under Mr. D L Smith, Mrs. S Y Smith, Mr. M Pochodzay & Mr. E Pochodzay. Christopher is currently an 8th Grader at Lamberton Middle School. Christopher achieved the rank of 2nd Degree Cadet Black Belt December 13th 2008 under Mr. D L Smith, Mrs. S Y Smith, Mr. M Pochodzay & Mr. E Pochodzay.

I have been attending classes at The Dragon's Way School for about four years. I enjoy karate and plan on achieving as much as I can. I also play football, and I love to draw. One of my favorite things about karate is helping to instruct juniors. Sometimes instructing is hard, but at the same time I enjoy it. Taylar Martin

I attend classes at The Dragon's Way School of Kenpo. I have been working towards my Cadet Black Belt for four years as of July. I just recently achieved the prestigious rank of a Cadet Black Belt on June 28th 2008 under the instruction of Mr. D.L.Smith, Mrs. S Y Smith, Mr. M Pochodzay and Mr. E Pochodzay. People may believe that once you attain the rank of a Black Belt that the journey is over, but in reality it has just begun. My favorite part about karate is being able to instruct the Junior class. I try to make learning all the requirements for the next belt fun for them because I know it can be hard to concentrate and focus at times. One thing that I have learned from instructing the Junior class is you have to be patient and you also have to be encouraging but serious. Outside of Karate I attend Yellow Breeches Middle School and just entered Sixth grade. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, cooking and playing the flute. I look forward to my academic future and keep schoolwork my number one priority. When I get older I hope to go to school to become a Surgeon, Cardiologist or Family Physician. Taylar achieved the rank of 2nd Degree Cadet Black Belt February 21st 2008 under Mr. D L Smith, Mrs. S Y Smith & Mr M. Pochodzay

All of these Cadet Black Belt Instructors have displayed the utmost in prowess and have shown truly remarkable spirit of what a Black Belt should be coupled with ability, discipline and humility. They are currently working towards their Senior Black Belt.
